Florida native soprano Alicia Branch emerged on the musical scene after winning 1st Prize at the Kiwanis Club Junior Vocal Competition at the age of 13. She then went on to graduate from the prestigious Alexander J. Dreyfoos School Of The Arts and attended Shorter College in Rome, GA majoring in vocal performance . During her educational years, she participated in The Art Singers Advent Sing in Vienna, Austria, the International Choral Singers Competition in Verona, Italy and performed with the children’s chorus of The Palm Beach Opera in Verdi’s Otello. Equally comfortable with musical styles ranging from opera, sacred music, musical theatre, and Swing/Standards, Ms. Branch has been heard in the role of Mabel in the comic operetta “The Pirates of Penzance”, The Mother in “Amahl and The Night Visitors”, and The Mother in the rock opera “Tommy”. Oratorio credits include soprano soloist in “Handel’s Messiah” and in the “Durufle Requiem”. She also received Honors at the NSAL Opera Competition held at Lynn University in 2008. During that time Alicia performed with The Palm Beach Opera in Turandot, L’Eliser d’amore, Madame Butterfly, Fidelio, and La Traviata . Currently she enters her 4th season as the lead female vocalist for the Musical Memories series at The Delray Beach Playhouse and also begins her 3rd season with The Florida Grand Opera YPO Children’s Opera Tour. Alicia has recently performed at such venues as The Palm Beach Main Public Library, Mar-a-lago, The Norton Art Gallery, The Everglades Club, The Breakers Palm Beach, The Doral, The Villagio on Miami Beach, The Delray Beach Club, and the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo. Alicia has also sung the National Anthem and other patriotic songs at the Royal Palm Beach Veterans Park Amphitheatre for a Veteran’s Day Vigil Ceremony honoring our troops at The Riverside Memorial Park in Jupiter, Florida. Alicia will be returning for a 6th year for the “Opera Arias at Sunset” on Captiva Island Florida. She also sang at the famous Versace Mansion as well as performed selections from The Phantom Of The Opera at the historic Gusman Center for the Performing Arts in Miami, Florida. Alicia has performed with baritone William Stafford at the Willow Theatre in Boca Raton in their show titled “A Night Of Opera” and “The America I Love”. Sacred music is a constant in her life as Alicia cantors for the Catholic Diocese of Palm Beach and is the Soloist for The Christian Science Church in West Palm Beach, Florida.
