CHELSIE HIGHTOWER joined the cast of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars in its 8th Season and wowed audiences with her dancing skills as a professional dancer for 8 seasons and had a wide variety of partners being Ty Murray, Louie Vito, Jake Pavelka, Michael Bolton, Romeo Miller, Roshon Fegan, Helio Castroneves. She first made her mark on season 4 of FOX TV’S So You Think You Can Dance, where she was a fan favorite and All-Star. Two of the dances she competed in were nominated for Emmys. After that, followed a 55 city national arena tour along with the top 10 dancers from her season. She was picked as one of the 10 All-Stars to both choreograph and dance with a contestant for a special episode where she performed with Aaron Turner. In July 2010 she received her first Creative EMMY nomination for Outstanding Choreography for her Dancing With The Stars routine, Paso Doble /Malaquena. She co- choreographed the piece with fellow DWTS pro Derek Hough. She was a special guest star for a week in the 2012 Dancing With The Stars Live show in Las Vegas. Chelsie has assisted with choreography and danced for numerous musical guests on DWTS including: Justin Bieber, Whitney Houston, Nicki Minaj, John Legend, Martina McBride, The Script, Goo Goo Dolls, Rascal Flatts, Jewel, Susan Boyle, The Go Go’s, The Bee Gee’s, Train and more. She appeared on the cover of the September 2010 issue of Fitness Magazine. Chelsie and Ty Murray were featured in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Chelsie served as the face of Reebok’s new dance shoe and apparel line, which launched March of 2013. Chelsie participated in her first USO tour visiting family bases in Germany, June 2011. On July 4th, she and Mark Ballas performed to Jordin Sparks singing “Beauty and the Beast,” on the iconic 2011 PBS Special A Capitol Fourth. She was honored to be a part of Latisse Wishes Challenge benefiting Make A Wish Foundation with Kathy Ireland and Bobbie Thomas. Chelsie had a Dancewear line with Sugar and Bruno from 2009-2015 and is excited to launch her new ballroom Dancewear line with Discount Dance in 2016. She has founded the company Dance Like a Star Vacations and is currently working hard to make that a success. Born in Las Vegas and raised in Orem, Utah, Chelsie started dancing when she was 9 years old in an after school program. She won her first national title when she was just 11 years old. Chelsie was trained by some of the best coaches in the world. In 2005, she was asked to be one of the four couples in the country to be on Team USA, in the most prestigious dance competition in the world, held in Blackpool, England. She represented USA in Latin Style. That same year she had the opportunity to be one of the two couples to represent the United States at the Worlds for the Standard style of ballroom held in Lavita. Chelsie’s many achievements include: U.S. Representative to the Worlds – 2005; U.S. National Standard runner up – 2005; International Latin Finalist – 2006; and 10 Dance National Youth Champion – 2005.
