Margaret hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Speech from the University of TN and studied Cubist-Expressionistic Scenography post WWI abroad at Masaryk University in Brno, Czech Republic. She is an 8-time Carbonell Award-nominated director, a multiple Silver Palm winner for direction, and she was the Associate Artistic Director and Resident Director for The Promethean Theatre for 8 years. Margaret has directed for many South Florida theaters including Arts Garage, New Theatre, Naked Stage, Mosaic Theatre, Caldwell Theatre, FAU Theatre Lab, and Florida Stage. She served the South Florida Theatre League on their board for 6 years, as President for 4 of those years. Currently Margaret is the Artistic Director for City Theatre in Miami and has just launched Shorts on Ships with Azamara Club Cruises. She is a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association, a founding Creative member of Miami’s Mangrove Creative Collective, and thrilled to be developing Boca Bound with the fine folks of White Ibis Productions.
