Susan Powell (Irene Molloy)

Miss Powell is thrilled to be back on The Wick stage after appearing as Narrator & Fay Templeton in this year’s summer production of George M. New York audiences have seen Susan as Johanna in Sweeney Todd at NYC Opera and as Alcamene in the Off-Broadway hit, Olympus On My Mind. She has performed leading roles with The Paper Mill Playhouse, Cape Playhouse, Houston’s Theatre Under the Stars, Ogunquit Playhouse, Kansas City Starlight and St. Louis Muny. Roles in those theatres include: Kate in Kiss Me Kate, Vicki inThe Full Monty, Mother in Ragtime, Guinevere in Camelot, Sarah in Guys and Dolls, Irene Malloy in Hello, Dolly! and Desiree in A Little Night Music. Television audiences enjoyed Susan as the host of Home Matters on The Discovery Channel for 12 seasons and she most recently appeared on Comedy Central’s Broad City. She has sung with numerous symphonies including The Boston Pops, Indianapolis Symphony and The Nashville Symphony and can be heard on the cast recordings of Olympus On My Mind, Fifty Million Frenchmen and on her solo recording, Just In Time. In the spring of 2016, she will make her Carnegie Hall debut with Michael Feinstein. Susan was Miss America in 1981.
