THE WICK THEATRE – 12TH SEASON OPEN CALL

The Wick Theatre is thrilled to announce open call auditions for our exciting 12th Season. We are only seeking NON-AEA performers at this time.

Auditions will be held at

The Wick Theatre, 7901 North Federal Highway, Boca Raton, FL 33487

INITIAL AUDITION DATES: Monday July 14th and Tuesday, July 15th

CALLBACKS: Wednesday, July 16th

Doors open at 9am to sign up for an audition slot- no unofficial list will be honored. All auditioners must sing to be considered for a dance callback. Singing slots will be scheduled from 10am-2pm and 3-4:30pm, with dance callbacks from 5-6pm.

PLEASE NOTE: You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of auditions to be considered. Any additional children’s calls will be held at a later date.

-TWO 16 BAR CUTS OF MUSIC that are appropriate for the season. You may be asked to sing one or both. Singing from a show in the season is welcome. An accompanist will be provided- no tracks or a capella singing permitted. All auditionees must sing with the piano.

-DANCE ATTIRE in the case of a dance callback (women please bring character heels)

  • SHOW 1: THE FANTASTICKS

    REHEARSES September 23-October 10, 2025 PERFORMANCES October 11- Nov. 2, 2025

    The Narrator (El Gallo) Male, Age 30-50. A rakish, handsome, sophisticated gallant and narrator of the show. He is warm, cordial, and inviting to the audience, but has his own darker moments. He aids the performers in orchestrating the story. Vocal Range Top: G4//Bottom: Ab2

    The Girl (Luisa) Female, Age 18-25. A button-maker's young and pretty daughter, she is a romantic idealist who falls in love with Matt. She is naive, yet honest and tender. Vocal Range Top: B5//Bottom: B3

    The Boy (Matt) Male, Age 18-25. An innocent, young man who is searching for love and adventure. A bright guy, but naive and even foolish at times, approaching situations with false bravado. Vocal range top: G4//Bottom: A2

    The Boy's Father (Hucklebee) Male, Age 40-60. A former boisterous navy man and meticulous gardener who fakes a fight with Bellomy in hopes of getting their children to fall in love. Vocal range top: F#4//Bottom: A2

    The Girl's Father (Bellomy)Male, Age 40-60. A fastidious button-maker and a picky gardener who fakes a fight with Hucklebee in hopes of getting their children together. Vocal range top: F#4//Bottom: A2

    The Actor (Henry)Male, Age 50-70. An aging, over-the-top Thespian who specializes in reciting Shakespeare, he is a commedia clown; his world is the stage and he knows no other reality.

    The Man Who Dies (Mortimer) Male, Age 30-50. Henry's goofy sidekick and another former actor who specializes in stage deaths. A commedia clown, his world is the stage and he does not live in reality.

    The Mute Any gender, Age 20-50. A speechless presence who watches, acts as the wall, and deals with props; the "invisible" stage assistant. Should be able to easily assist in the story or fade into the background unnoticed.

  • SHOW 2: A CHRISTMAS CAROL

    REHEARSES November 11-28, 2025 PERFORMANCES November 29-December 24, 2025

    Ebenezer Scrooge Male, Age 45-65. A man who lost his father to creditors as a kid and has grown up heeding his father’s advice to save his money. Until he realizes how terrible he’s become, he is grumpy, unsympathetic man and has no time for anyone or anything. Vocal Range: A3 - G5

    Blind Old Hag / Ghost of Christmas Future Female, Age 25-45.A beautiful, and terrifying wrath, the Ghost of Christmas Future is strong and silent as she shows Scrooge what will happen to him and those around him if he continue down the path he is currently treading. Vocal Range: A3 – G5. Pointe or roller-skating skills required.

    Emily Female, Age 18-25. Scrooge’s fiancé from when they were young. She is a beautiful girl, not impressed or in need of money. Vocal Range: A3 – B5

    Fred Male, Age 25-40. Scrooge’s nephew and only living relative. He is a pleasant young man who believes in the good a joyful Christmas spirit can make in the world. Vocal Range: A3 – F5

    Ghost of Christmas Past Male or Female, Age 25-40. An ever cheerful, sprightly ghost who comes back with the history book of Scrooge’s past to show him the events that led to his current state. Actor doubles as Lamplighter. Vocal Range: A3 - G5

    Ghost of Christmas Present Male, Age 35-50. A jovial, larger-than-life ghost who comes back to show Scrooge all the joy, love, and celebration he his missing out on while those around him celebrate Christmas. Actor doubles as Sandwich board Man. Vocal Range: A3 - G5

    Jacob Marley Male, Age 45-65. Scrooge’s former business partner who, before his death, was exactly like Scrooge. Comes back as a ghost in chains to warn Scrooge of how his life decisions will bind him in the afterlife. Vocal Range: A3 – A5

    Mr. Bob Cratchit Male, Age 30-45. A father and husband who cares deeply for his family, particularly his youngest son. He works hard to provide for them but is mistreated by his employer, Scrooge. Vocal Range: A3 – E5

    Mr. Fezziwig Male, Age 40-55. A portly, jolly man who used to throw a huge Christmas party every year for the community. He was Scrooge’s first boss and after teaching him all he knew, he became deeply disappointed in the man Scrooge became. Vocal Range: A3 - B5

    Mrs. Cratchit Female, Age 30-40. Tiny Tim’s mother and Mr. Cratchit’s wife. She is a loving mother who tries to provide the best for her children with what she’s got. Vocal Range: A3 - E5

    Mrs. Mopps/ Mrs. Fezziwig Female, Age 40-55. The consummate hostess and Mr. Fezziwig’s wife, she loved to help throw the Christmas party every year. She is jovial, warm-hearted, and needs to engage the audience. Vocal Range: A3 - A5

    Tiny Tim Male, Age 5-9. Mr. and Mrs. Cratchit’s youngest son. He is crippled and sick, but is the definition of loving Christmas spirit. He constantly reminds his family that as long as they all have each other, they will be happy. Vocal Range: A3 – E5

    Cratchit Children, Fan, Young Scrooge Male and Female, Ages 7-14. Six children to portray several roles throughout the show. Must be strong actors and singers.

    Ensemble Male and Female, Age 21-40. Six men and six women to play various small roles and perform ensemble dancing. Must all be strong singers, actors, and dancers.

  • SHOW 3: MY FAIR LADY

    REHEARSES January 6-23, 2026 PERFORMANCES January 24-February 22, 2026

    Eliza Doolittle Female, Age 21-30. The cockney flower-girl who Professor Higgins tries to civilize. She is warm, high spirited and self-reliant. Mastery of the Cockney and Standard RP Accents required. Vocal range: A3 - G5

    Henry Higgins Male, Age 40-60. The conceited professor of linguistics who attempts to transform a cockney flower-girl, Eliza, into a well-bread lady. He is eccentric, vital, energetic, and not in touch with his emotions. Vocal range: B flat 2 - E4

    Col. Hugh Pickering Male, Age 40-60. The amiable linguist friend of Professor Higgins. Vocal range:C3 - D4

    Alfred P. Doolittle Male, Age 45-65. Eliza's fun-loving father who loves to indulge in alcohol. He is good-natured and has lots of friends. Cockney accent required. Vocal range: G3 - E4

    Freddy Eynsford-Hill Male, Age 25-35. The handsome upper-class young man who falls in love with Eliza. Vocal range: C3 - F4

    Mrs. Pearce Female. Age 35-50. Professor Higgins’ housekeeper who acts as a surrogate mother to Eliza. Vocal range: E4 - G4

    Mrs. Higgins Female, Age 60-75. She is a self-assured, wealthy, and elegant mother.

    Non-singing role.

    Mrs. Eysford-Hill Female, Age 60-75. Freddy's high-society mother. Very stuffy. Non- singing role.

    Ensemble Male and Female, Age 21-40. Six men and six women who will play Zoltan Karpathy, the Butler, Jamie, Harry, Ascot racetrack devotees, Embassy Ball patrons, servants, opera goers, street buskers, flower sellers, etc. Must be strong actors, dancers and singers.

  • SHOW 4: CAMELOT

    REHEARSES March 3-20, 2026 PERFORMANCES March 21-April 12, 2026

    Arthur Male, 25-40. An idealistic, compassionate and generous young King. He tends to be unsure of himself but serves as a huge inspiration to others and strives to lead based on honor and chivalry. Vocal range top: Eb4//bottom: A2

    Guenevere Female, Age 25-35. A young, beautiful and spirited young woman and soon

    to be queen. She loves Arthur and his righteous ways but is suddenly thrown with the arrival of Lancelot. Vocal range top: A5//bottom: B3

    Lancelot Male, Age 25-35. A self-involved French Knight who is very used to excelling at everything. Vocal range top: B4//bottom: A2

    Pellinore Male, Age 55-70. An old and eccentric knight, devoted to Arthur.

    Mordred Male, Age 20-30. The illegitimate son of Arthur, bound to destroy his kingdom. Vocal range top: D4//bottom: C3

    Tom of Warwick Male, Age 18-21. A young stowaway Arthur knights, in hopes that he will spread the word of chivalry and Camelot.

    Nimue Female, Age 21-40. A mythical spirit who lures Merlyn away and steals his magical powers. Vocal range top: Eb5// bottom: Eb4

    Merlyn Male, Age 25-50. King Arthur's long-time mentor. A wizard who ages backwards.

    Morgan Le Fey Female, Age 35-50. Mordred's magical Aunt who casts a spell on King Arthur.

    Ensemble

    Male and Female, Ages 21-40. Six men and six women who portray Knights of the Round Table, Lords and Ladies of the court, townspeople. Must be strong actors and singers.

  • SHOW 5: THE CHER SHOW

    REHEARSES April 14-May 1, 2026 PERFORMANCES May 2-May 31, 2026

    BABE – Female, Age 18-22. Cher at the early stage of her life. Fiercely independent but insecure about her looks, being “different”, being challenged from dyslexia. Anxious to “get up and get out”, to sing, to dance, to act, to be somebody. Determined to be famous, drawn to Hollywood and the movies. Surrounded by women as a girl; eager for romantic encounters as a teen. Must have an excellent pop/rock voice.

    LADY – Female, Age 30-35. Cher in her 30’s. Delighted by the power and trappings of stardom. Exhausted by the demands of a fully booked life. She wears her fame and her femininity as naturally as any of the famous Mackie creations, with ease and aplomb. In the spotlight, she thrives. Out of it, she pines for the minutiae of ordinary life – going to the movies, shopping with friends, being a mom, making music. Must have an excellent pop/rock voice.

    STAR – Female, Age 45-55. Cher as we see her now. She might have been willing to

    settle for less if she’d known that this is what it’s like to have it all. But she doesn’t settle, she strives. She pushes through the old fears and insecurities to try new things, to be new versions of herself. Brings her talent for being real to her music, and to her acting.

    And, to her search for love, for a good man who can handle a powerful woman. Must have an excellent pop/rock voice.

    SONNY BONO – Male, Age 35-45. Charming, funny, adorable, ambitious – but capable of being controlling, inconstant and manipulative. He’s the hero and the villain – a romantic and a cad, a lover and a jailer, part Othello and part Iago. That’s what makes him interesting, to Cher and to us. Must have an excellent pop/rock voice.

    GEORGIA HOLT / LUCILLE BALL – Female, Age 40-50. Cher’s mother. Gorgeous, talented and independent. Could’ve given Marilyn Monroe a run for her money but lacked the killer instinct. Happy to attach and detach herself from any guy, even the ones she marries. She wants her daughter to be somebody, and she teaches her by example. Not the cliché stage mother, not the cliché stay-at-home mom, but squarely in her kid’s corner, through thick and thin. Actor playing Georgia also doubles as Lucille Ball. Requires a very strong Actor with an excellent pop/rock voice.

    BOB MACKIE / ROBERT ALTMAN – Male, Age 35-55. The somewhat eccentric fashion designer responsible for designing Cher’s outfits for her shows. The actor also doubles as famous film and theatre director Robert Altman. Must have excellent comedic timing and a fantastic singing voice.

    GREGG ALLMAN / JOHN SOUTHALL - Male, Age 25-40. Known for his success as part of “The Allman Brothers Band”. A romantic relationship with Cher starts after she separates from Sonny Bono and eventually, they marry. Young, handsome, sexy, and surprisingly smart. Must have an excellent pop/rock singing voice and guitar playing is a plus.

    ROB CAMILLETTI – Male, Age 25-35.“The Bagel Boy”. Cher’s very young love interest later in her life. A sweet, charming, Italian young man. Genuinely loves Cher for who she really is. Must have an excellent pop/rock voice.

    ENSEMBLE - Male and female, Age 21-40. Six men and eight women. Excellent singers, dancers, and actors for various ensemble tracks.
